ROOSTER BOOKMARK CRAFT

Updated: Apr 9

Have extra construction paper laying around? Try this cute and easy craft with your kids!

What you'll need:

  • Construction paper

  • Scissors

  • Googly Eyes (Optional)

  • Marker

  • Glue

  • Ruler

How to fold paper into bookmark:

You will need a perfect square piece of construction paper! Use your ruler to help. In this case, we used 4 by 4 inches.

1: Look at your square piece of paper in a diamond view.

2: Fold bottom to meet top, creating a large triangle.

3: Fold the pointed part of upper flap downwards so that it meets the base of the triangle, making a small triangle.

4: Fold the right corner upwards so that it meets the tip of the large triangle.

5: Repeat step 4 on the left side.

6: Tuck the right fold into the small triangle you made in step 3.

7: Repeat step 6 on the left side. Voila!

Time to make it look like a rooster!

Step One: Glue the googly eyes onto the construction paper. You could also use a marker for the eyes.

Step Two: Cut out the crown, wattle and beak and glue onto your rooster.

Step Three: Use your rooster as a bookmark! Can you think of any other farm friend bookmarks to make?
