Take your Jack-o-Lantern to the next level with this fun science experiment. Perfectly fun, gross, and fascinating for the Halloween season!
*This is a messy experiment. Set up your pumpkin outside, on a plastic table cloth, or in a bin for easy clean-up!
Materials:
Jack-o-Lantern (the lower the mouth is on the pumpkin, the better the oozing effect will be!) *Make sure you have adult supervision when carving pumpkins.
Baking Soda
Vinegar
Food colouring (optional)
Instructions:
Add around one cup of baking soda to the inside of the Jack-o-Lantern. Add a few drops of food colouring to the baking soda if you want an extra colourful explosion!
Pour 2-3 cups of vinegar into the pumpkin.
Watch as the pumpkin almost immediately begins foaming and oozing from its mouth!
