This learning module introduces students to conservation agriculture practices and their importance in responding to climate and weather events in Alberta. Students will explore how climate affects plants and animals on farms, discuss sustainable farming techniques and analyze local weather patterns.


Learning Objectives


By the end of this module, students will be able to:


  • Describe how climate affects plants and animals farmed in Alberta.

  • Identify conservation agriculture practices and their potential benefits.

  • Discuss local climate and weather events that impact agricultural practices.

  • Explain sustainable harvesting practices and their role in maintaining plant and animal populations.
