Materials:
White paper (whatever size is manageable to completely colour)
Pencil
Pencil crayons
Paper towel
Paintbrush
Canola oil
Tape (optional)
Hole punch (optional)
String (optional)
Instructions:
In the centre of the piece of paper, draw a canola plant or one of its flowers. Sketch it out using your pencil and then colour with pencil crayons.
Now give the canola plant or flower a colourful background, filling in the rest of the page with a sectioned stained-glass look.
Lay your picture flat on a paper towel or other protected surface, and using the paintbrush, brush the paper with canola oil until completely soaked through and the paper turns translucent.
Dab away any excess canola oil with a paper towel.
Set aside and let dry for two days.
Display by hanging in a window! This can be done with tape, sticking it directly to the window or a hole punch and string. Punching a hole in the top of your picture, pull the string through and tie the ends together. Now, hang it somewhere the light can catch it!
