Bringing Agriculture to Life.

What is Ag Literacy?

Agriculture literacy is the understanding and knowledge of agriculture and its impact on society.

An agriculturally literate person understands how the agricultural industry works – not just where food comes from, but who grows it, agriculture’s effect on the economy, environment, and society.

Agriculture is Life.

Today, most students are three or more generations removed from the farm, with many never having stepped foot on one. Our agricultural literacy resources and opportunities help bridge the gap between farmers, ranchers, educators, students, and their families, highlighting the importance of the industry in our daily lives.

Cultivating Curiosity.

Growing Futures.

Project-Based Learning

We believe that agriculture offers engaging and empowering learning opportunities that help students become innovative problems solvers, equipping them with essential skills.

Hands-on learning such as planting and harvesting encourage students to apply their knowledge of STEM concepts to real world challenges.

Growing Together

Our community of educators, volunteers, farm families, and leaders is crucial in our efforts to advance agricultural literacy.

Together we strive to promote awareness, understanding, and appreciation of agriculture, ensuring that students have access to the knowledge and resources necessary to make informed decisions about food, farming, and the environment.
