Working with the Alberta Government, schools, and community groups Ag for Life hosts Young Farm Workers Safety Training in communities across the province.  The workshops provide students from the region the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to keep themselves and those around them safe on the farm and at future work environments. Through the spring and fall of 2017 Ag for Life has assisted with producing Young Farm Workers Training in Pigeon Lake, Acme, Irma, and Vermilion.

The focus of the Young Farm Workers workshop is to provide participants with hands-on, engaging, educational safety programming with the ultimate goal of eliminating farm site injuries and fatalities.  Participants learn about a wide variety of safety topics delivered by local volunteers and safety experts.

Safety Days Have Include Sessions On:

  • Hazard Assessment and Control
