Working with the Alberta Government, schools, and community groups, Ag for Life hosts Young Farm Workers Safety Training in communities across the province. The workshops provide students from the region the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to keep themselves and those around them safe on the farm and at future work environments.
The focus of the Young Farm Workers workshop is to provide participants with hands-on, engaging, educational safety programming with the ultimate goal of eliminating farm site injuries and fatalities. Participants learn about a wide variety of safety topics delivered by local volunteers and safety experts.
Topics may include, but are not limited to:

Sessions Include: Equine Safety, Cattle Safety, Chemical Safety, Fire Safety, ATVs, Utilities on the Farm, Anhydrous Ammonia Safety and Livestock Emergency Response.
