As a Friend of Canadian Agricultural Safety Week (CASW), which runs March 11 to 17, Agriculture for Life will be encouraging farm families in Alberta to talk about safety and what it means to their family. To encourage conversations, Ag for Life will be launching a Family Farm Safety Colouring Contest that will be signed by each member of the family.
“Partnering with the Canadian Agriculture Safety Association on the CASW campaign is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of safe agriculture amongst children, youth and adults,” says Ag for Life CEO, Luree Williamson. “The Farm Safety Colouring Contest is a fun activity for families that will hopefully help encourage conversations about farm safety.”
Throughout CASW, Ag for Life will be sharing farm safety advice through social media and encouraging farm families to make use of the safety resources on Ag for Life’s website. This includes the Farm Safety Walkabout, an activity that families can complete together to identify the hazards on the farm and encourage a farm safety culture.
The Family Farm Safety Colouring Contest will run March 12 to April 20, 2018 and is open to Alberta residents 12 years of age and under. All applicants will be entered to win one of two great prizes.
