CALGARY, Apr. 24, 2019 – Agriculture for Life was appointed the newest provincial member of Agriculture in the Classroom Canada (AITC-C) in March 2019, with CEO Luree Williamson joining the Board of Directors.
Williamson is enthusiastic about the collaboration with AITC-C as it aligns with the vision of Ag for Life and will further their ability to provide agriculture education and foster student engagement. “Agriculture and food have the power to bring us all together and are something that we connect with everyday,” said Williamson. “I am honoured to help learners of all ages understand the importance of agriculture and to be a part of the AITC-C movement.”
“AITC-C is delighted to welcome Ag for Life and Luree on board,” said Johanne Ross, AITC-C Executive Director. “Ag for Life shares AITC-C’s passion and commitment to agriculture education and will no doubt play a vital role within our national organization and our mission to enhance student’s and teacher’s connection and knowledge of agriculture and food across the country.” Ag for Life joins the AITC-C and its nine dedicated provincial member organizations that deliver agriculture education to classrooms in their home provinces.
